I have always been an active member of the community out of the belief that a strong community provides a real social network and a sense of belonging to its members. I believe every student deserves a public education that honors their individuality and equips them with the tools to pursue a fulfilling future, personally and as a contributing member of society. ​

As a parent of three multilingual children (elementary, middle and high school), who’ve experienced the transition of immigrating, I value the support our schools provide, and I understand some of the challenges multilingual students face.  

I will bring to the Lake Washington School District Board my experience as a Career Consultant, as a PTSA Board member and as someone who has worked with diverse teams throughout my career, together with my listening and learning skills and the unique point of view of a parent to multilingual children.
